Janessa Johnson, 2019 Student Speaker for Commencement
Meet STLCC
Janessa Johnson served as the College's 2019 Student Commencement Speaker. The fine arts student found success at STLCC and is continuing on her journey.
At Florissant Valley, Janessa feels she was "able to grow so fast as an artist and as a person." She was selected for an artists' residency, had her work exhibited in campus gallery spaces and participated in juried competitions, just to name a few of her highlights as a student.
In fall 2019, Janessa will pursue a degree in art at Washington University in St. Louis as the recipient of an Elizabeth Gray Danforth Scholarship, a full, renewable scholarship
